AC Drawworks
LM400AC, LM550AC, LM770AC & LM1100AC
Loadmaster’s AC drawworks is specifically configured to meet the demands of a fast moving drilling rig for minimum weight, compact package, robust mechanical construction, and simplicity of maintenance and service. The design provides power in excess of hoisting requirements to provide full regenrative braking, thereby eliminating the complication of “auxiliary” or “service” brakes.
Features
- Single speed gearbox eliminates shifting, direct drive to drawworks drum shaft (no chains)
- Heavy duty design with AGMA class 9 gears for maximum life
- Pressurized lubrication system with backup gear pump ensures proper lubrication and cooling to all components at any drum speed
- Faulk style couplings with floating center shaft prevents alignment problems
- Computer automatically controls dynamic braking
- Air cooled disc brakes as backup to regenerative braking, more effective braking
- Failsafe disc brake control provides the safety during blackout or emergency
- Lighter weight and simplicity of design makes our drawworks almost maintenance free
