Iron Roughneck
LM120H
Loadmaster’s Iron Roughneck is a compact, pedestal mounted, pipe spinning machine. Its self-aligned triple jaws provide uniform clamping force and accommodate any misalignment of drilling strings. The spring mounted spinner support allows vertical movement during makup and breakout. The head angular rotation feature allows alignment for spinning operations in a slanted mousehole. The LM-120 Iron Rouchneck provides friendly controls with options to choose both method of operation and position.
Operation can be manual, using the local mounted valve control station, or remote using the electronic controller by means of joystick, and HMI touch screen in the driller’s cabin. The automatic makeup and breakout cycles can be run from either the local controller or HMI. Parameters for wrench position and drill pipe size can be pre-programmed and recalled using the “Recipe” and “one Key Positioning” HMI functions. This provides quick and accurate control during operation.
